• NYSSMA  - NYSSMA Music. The festival is April 11-12, 2025 in Johnson City. Did you choose your music?  Are you practicing it?  Prepare to be successful!

• NYSSMA Majors The NYSSMA Majors Field Trip to Owego Free Academy is on Tuesday, May 13th and will have a similar schedule to last year.  The band will go to periods 1-4, eat lunch during 5th, then head to Owego for our adjudication.  We will return to UEHS before the end of the school day.

• NYSBDA is a band festival in Syracuse on March 7-9, 2025. 

• Tuba Christmas is at the Oakdale Mall in December.  Register at 12:00pm in front of JCPenny.  It's a fun time.  See Mrs. Klein to see the music.  

• Senior Area All State  - January 31st-February 1st, 2025.

• 10-12th Grade All County Band (Festival I) - February 28th and March 1st, 2025.  

• 7-9th Grade and Jazz All County Band (Festival II) -  March 14-15, 2025. 

• Lesson Schedule - Four Lessons are due in MP2 and MP3.  Small Ensemble rehearsals can count as lesson credit. 

• Honors Band -  Marking Period 2 Summary Assignment is due now. Here is the Marking Period 3 Summary Assignment.

• Spring Concert - This concert is for Jazz band and takes place on May 8th at 7:00pm.

• Pre-NYSSMA Concert - This is for Wind Ensemble and any other NYSSMA large ensemble groups.  It is on May 12th.  Then the groups will take a field trip to Owego during the school day to perform their NYSSMA pieces for judges the week of May 12-15th.

• Jazz Performance at NYC - Saturday, May 31st.

• Graduation, Saturday June 28th -  This concert is for ALL Band students.  We will have a pizza party/rehearsal a few days before, then hop on a bus on 6/28 to the Arena for our last performance of the year. 

• Kaleidoscope Concert - Great Concert everyone!  Concert Date was Tuesday, October 15th at 7:00pm.

• Winter Concert - This concert was Wednesday, December 11th. Here is the Concert Video!

• Small Ensemble Showcase - This was our final event for the fall/winter small ensembles.  It took place on February 12th in the Tree Room.  Any further Small Ensemble practice will be for the NYSSMA Festival.

• Founder's Day Celebration - This event took place on Thursday, February 27th at the Riverdale on Watson Blvd.  The little big band did a great job and was well received.

• Brass Ensemble - On hiatus.  Check back for updates.

• Drumline -  Drumline meets on Tuesday and Wednesday with Mr. Lasek.  Please reach out to the drumline for more information.  

• Reed Ensemble - Clarinets are preparing an ensemble piece for NYSSMA. 

• Flute Ensemble - Flute Ensemble is preparing an ensemble piece for NYSSMA.

• Video Game Ensemble - Great job at the Small Ensemble Showcase!

• Delbert Colbeigh Music Award - This is for Juniors or Seniors for up to $500 to spend on specific music related needs.  It is not just for students who plan to be music majors.

• Endwell Community Chorus Scholarship - No Application or essay,  just an audition on April 5th.  The winner will perform with the group on June 7th, 2025.  Award is $1000 for music related major.

• Dominick J. Salameda Marching Band Scholarship -  applications are due May 2nd, 2025.

• Sam Cifonelli Music Recognition Award - This is for Juniors and Seniors who want to pursue a career in music.  Due May 13th, 2024

• BCMEA Scholarship - Applications are due on April 17th and the audition is on May 5th, 2025.  More information and application is here. 

• Mac Sabol Scholarship ($1000) Application wasn't posted as of 3/21. This is for someone pursuing some form of music in college. 

• Sarah McKeown - it’s $1000, an engraved award, and you get your name put on the plaque in the Tree Room…and no essay required!  Applications available in the guidance office.
