• Junior Area All State  - November 7-8th, 2025. This festival took place in Homer, NY and is for students who are accepted based on their NYSSMA solo score.  Applications for this festival are filled out early in the school year.  

• NYSSMA All State - This is the most elite festival that happens in NY State.  This year the dates are December 4-7, 2026. Eamonn Hubert was accepted into the All State Orchestra!  Go Eamonn!

• Tuba Christmas is at the Oakdale Mall on December 13th.  Register ($15) at 12:00pm in front of JCPenny.  The performance starts at 1:00pm. It's a fun time.  See Mrs. Klein to see the music.  

• Senior Area All State  - Congratulations for Audrey on her accpetance into the group!  January 30-31st, 2026. This festival takes place at Ithaca College and is for students who are accepted based on their NYSSMA solo score.  Applications for this festival are filled out early in the school year.  

• 10-12th Grade All County Band (Festival I) - February 27th and 28th, 2026.  

• NYSBDA is a band festival in Syracuse in March, 2026. 

• 7-9th Grade All County Band (Festival II) -  March 6-7, 2026. 

• NYSSMA  - NYSSMA Music. The festival is April 24-26, 2026 in Johnson City. 

• NYSSMA Majors - The pre-NYSSMA concert is on Monday, May 11th and the NYSSMA Majors Field Trip to Owego Free Academy will be posted as soon as it is scheduled.   

• Lesson Schedule - Three lessons are due in MP1 and MP4. Four Lessons are due in MP2 and MP3.  Small Ensemble rehearsals can count as lesson credit. 

• Honors Band -  Marking Period 2 Assignment is due on January 16th.

• Winter Concert - This concert is Wednesday, December 10th, 2025. Here is the 2024 Concert Video!

• Small Ensemble Showcase - This was our final event for the fall/winter small ensembles.  It is scheduled for February 11th in the Tree Room.  Any further Small Ensemble practice will be for the NYSSMA Festival.

• Spring Concert - This concert was for Jazz band and took place on May 8th at 7:00pm. Next year, maybe we will do this concert during "Music in Our Schools" Month.

• Pre-NYSSMA Concert - This is for Wind Ensemble and any other NYSSMA large ensemble groups.  It was on May 12th.  Then the groups will take a field trip to Owego during the school day to perform their NYSSMA pieces for judges on May 13th.

• Picnic on the Patio Concert - Monday, June 2nd. Program

• Graduation, Saturday June 27th -  This concert is for ALL Band students.  We will have a pizza party/rehearsal the week before from 11:30am-1:00pm, then hop on a bus at 9:15am on 6/27 to the Arena for our last performance of the year. This is an hour later than in years past. Permission Slip

• Kaleidoscope Concert - Our first concert of the year was Thursday, October 16th at 7:00pm.

• Brass Ensemble - Meeting on Friday, November 14th. Please join the SportsYou: KLLU-ZXZF

• Drumline -  We will have a drumline rehearsal on Monday, 11/17. 

• Percussion Ensemble  - So far we have two people for this group.

• Flute Ensemble - We will meet on Wednesdays from 3:15-4:15pm.

• Video Game Ensemble - We will meet on Thursdays from 3:15-4:15pm.

• Reed Ensemble - Is meeting after school on Tuesday, December 16th, but we may meet during school as well. 

• Pep Band - If we do pep band, it may only be one or two games this season, based on availably.  Nothing is scheduled yet. 

• Founder's Day Celebration - This event took place on Thursday, February 27th, 2025 at the Riverdale on Watson Blvd.  The little big band did a great job and was well received.

It's never too early to start thinking about scholarships.  Links will appear below as information is available. 

• Sam Cifonelli Music Recognition Award - This is for Juniors and Seniors who want to pursue a career in music.  Due May 13th, 2024

• Mac Sabol Scholarship ($1000) Application wasn't posted as of 3/21. This is for someone pursuing some form of music in college. 

• Sarah McKeown - it’s $1000, an engraved award, and you get your name put on the plaque in the Tree Room…and no essay required!  Applications available in the guidance office. 

• Delbert Colbeigh Music Award - This is for Juniors or Seniors for up to $500 to spend on specific music related needs.  It is not just for students who plan to be music majors.

• Endwell Community Chorus Scholarship - No Application or essay,  just an audition on April 5th.  The winner will perform with the group on June 7th, 2025.  Award is $1000 for music related major. 

• BCMEA Scholarship - Applications are due on April 17th and the audition is on May 5th, 2025.  More information and application is here. 

• Dominick J. Salameda Marching Band Scholarship -  applications are due May 2nd, 2025.
